I am a son, a father and in this wonderful part of my life, it was not that long ago I become a grandad again. It's made me think a lot about life and my legacy.

17 years ago a very close schoolmate of mine was killed in a commercial air tragedy. He left behind a wife, 4 children, and a mess—no instructions and not enough financial support for his family, their living arrangements, education and so on. I know it wasn’t my fault, but I carried guilt for years—I should have tried harder to get him sorted. So I've made this my life's work.
97% of people don’t have an up-to-date or appropriate Will, Estate or Succession Plan. That’s a frightening fact. Sadly, I’ve experienced far too many harrowing circumstances where I’ve seen families fall apart because of neglected planning for the inevitable.
On the upside, I've also seen the futures saved of many families. We've made sure good plans were in place. Bronwyn, Con, Dennis, Shane, Sharon and many others gone well before their time was up. Not one died of old age!
For most people these days, we’ve done a great job in getting their stuff sorted before the unexpected happens. But sometimes, time runs out before they treat what I do with priority.
I still get occasional grief from existing or potential customers. They say I’m too ‘enthusiastic’ about this. But they have a delusion of invincibility! Based on my life experiences, I’ve seen the other side and how it pulls families apart. So I won't apologise for caring too much or for the passion I bring to get this sorted.
